Inversion Immersion / Sunday, Nov 13th @ 1 – 3 pm
Turn your world upside-down in this two hour workshop. We’ll breakdown tripod headstand, forearm stand, headstand, handstand & shoulderstand so you can incorporate each into your Vinyasa flow The workshop is limited to 20 students so you will receive individual attention from Danielle and her assistant. You can expect to gain knowledge, confidence and strength in your inversions, as you let go of the fear related to these poses.
Twisting Workshop / Sunday, Jan. 8th @ 1 – 3 pm
Are you ready to get Twisted? In this two-hour detox workshop, you’ll internally build heat as you flow through a vigorous vinyasa flow incorporating various twisting postures. These poses are beneficial for may reasons, one of them being that they wring out the toxins and waste products in your tissues and organs, then flush them with a fresh surge of blood, oxygen and nutrients. Yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar described this process as a “squeeze-and-soak” action.
Not only is a detox practice beneficial for the body, but also the mind. We will also incorporate specific breathing techniques to build heat and direct the energy up, and then relax into a meditation which will also empty the mind of any ”toxins.”
Chaturanga Challenge / Sunday, Feb 26th @1 – 3 pm
Are you challenged by chaturanga? Chaturanga is one of the most important building blocks of any yoga practice because it is the foundation for many other poses that involve upper body strength. Once you are schooled in the alignment principals of chaturanga, then you can move on to basic and more advanced arm balances, and poses like full wheel and handstand. In this 2 hour workshop, Danielle will teach you the foundation of chaturanga from the ground up; and then you’ll practice putting those principals to use in more advanced poses that require upper body and core strength.
