MANASQUAN NEW JERSEY YOGA STUDIO
Xen Strength Yoga: The Studio was created with you in mind.
You must reserve your mat due to intimate class size.
What type of yoga is Xen Strength Yoga?
Xen Strength Yoga combines a creative yoga flow with full-body strength training, designed to sculpt, lengthen, and challenge every major muscle group. Whether holding a block overhead in Warrior 1, doing a tricep kickback with weights in Warrior 3, using a slider in high lunge, or focusing on the rise and fall of the chest in savasana, you’ll leave feeling both recharged and relaxed. Xen Strength Yoga uses functional movements to give you the ability to do everything you need to do in your daily life without pain—it’s exercise to maximize the way your body works...and looks!
We infuse our yoga classes and teacher training with quality, integrity and a sense of humor. Our highly trained, passionate teachers make yoga accessible to everyone and offer a practice that can be applied on and off the mat.
Do I need to bring a mat?
We do have rental mats, but we honestly believe that you should use your own mat. We do clean our mats to make sure they’re fresh for you to flow on, but we’re personally not fans of sharing- you know, the whole idea of your face going where someone else’s feet were? (ewwwww)
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes! Please cancel your reservation at least 3 hours before class. Because we are a small, intimate studio with limited spaces, if you don’t cancel and don’t show up for class you will be charged.
What level of yoga are your classes? Do you have beginner classes?
Our classes are open to all levels of experience from beginners to advanced. Because we use props, whether it’s a block, a strap, gliders or weights, your teacher will show you modifications to make it easier or more challenging.
We also offer classes specifically for beginners in four week cycles. Check our events tab for dates and times.
What do I do if I am a beginner?
Grab as spot in the middle of the room so you can see people in front of you and behind you. Don’t worry about being new, we all start somewhere and this is a judgment free zone. Come on in, let your teacher know you’re new and have fun!
Do you offer an advanced class?
We believe that each class will be as hard as you make it. Your teacher will always give modifications to challenge you. If you’re looking for more advanced modifications be sure to mention it to to your teacher before class starts.
Can I bring my kids?
We love families, but we’d also love for anyone practicing yoga here to be at least 12 years old. We have a series of special classes for teen girls and also our MVP yoga classes for teen athletes. Check out our event page for dates and times. You must also register your child separately and have them sign their own waiver.
Do you offer prenatal classes?
We don’t offer prenatal classes at the moment, but depending on where you are in your pregnancy, most Xen Strength Yoga classes are accessible to you. Always check with your doctor before starting something new, your teacher will ask if you have clearance to incorporate strength training into your practice.
Do you offer private instruction at Xen Strength Yoga?
Yes! Private yoga sessions can be booked with any of our instructors. Whether you have a specific instructor in mind or are new to yoga, connect with us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your interests in one-on-one sessions.
May I reserve a private group yoga class event at Xen Strength Yoga?
Yes, we love groups! We host all types of group classes for adults and teens at Xen Strength Yoga. Bridal parties, corporate yoga, or just a small group training with your personal besties, connect with us at email@example.com
What if I'm not flexible?
That’s why we do the yoga. Despite urban myth, toe-touching does not make a great yogi- just dedication showing up with an open mind and willingness to learn.
Should I eat before I come to class?
Because most of our classes require more effort than lying on a bolster we do recommend eating something before class. Carbs are great pre-workout fuel and our personal combo is a half of a banana covered in almond butter. It won’t fill you completely, but will fuel your workout. *Post flow should be all about the protein for muscle recovery.
Can I bring my phone into the room if I am expecting an important call?
We love you, but not your phone in the studio. This might be the only hour most students get to be away from the demands of the day and even someone else’s phone going off can trigger FOMO while flowing. Please don’t make our teachers have to ask you to put it away. Unless you’re a doctor on call, then you’re welcome to grab a spot in the back and have your phone on vibrate. Gracias!
How do I book a class?
Please make use of our online registration system, or our custom app to schedule and cancel classes, especially if this is your first time flowing with us. It’s easy, we promise!Pre-registration is highly recommended. Because we’re an intimate studio with limited space we can’t guarantee you a spot if you show up without signing up online at least 30 minutes before class. Pre-registered spots are held until 5 minutes before class begins. You must be signed into class by then, or your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist. You may cancel any class reservation online up to 3 hours before the start of the class at no charge.
Arrival and registration: Please arrive to class 10-15 minutes early—we always start and end on time, and the door is locked once class begins. Give yourself plenty of time to make it to the studio- traffic happens, and so do slow moving garbage trucks- you don’t want to miss your class, or get charged a no show fee. : )

Please remove your shoes and silence your cell phone upon entering the studio and place your belongings in the back- the only dress code is a smile. We suggest you leave valuables at home or locked in your car (we are not responsible for lost or stolen items).
Please stay for the entire class (this includes savasana, the part where you lie down and chill). If you have a special circumstance, let the instructor know before class starts and set your mat near the door to leave quietly; your fellow yogis will thank you.
Be Kind: to your fellow students and our team. If it’s a crowded class please make room for your neighbor. If there’s an issue please be respectful- we will absolutely do our best to work it out for you. You have the power to make every class a great one for you and everyone around you.
We love the mantra “think before you speak and breathe before you act.”
All class purchases and packages are non-transferable and non-refundable. Packages are activated on the date of first use (not the date of purchase). Ten class packs have a 3 month expiration and may only be extended with a doctor’s note.
