I’d realized that after practicing yoga for fifteen years, my body needed more than a traditional yoga flow to stay in shape- things weren’t feeling as tight, and I needed to increase muscle and bone density.
I was frustrated with not having enough time to do yoga for flexibility and peace of mind, lift weights to build muscle, and elevate my heart rate doing cardio. I searched for a class that combined all three of these elements of fitness into one but had no luck.
So I incorporated light weights into my vinyasa flow and watched my body change immediately.
After just one month of not changing anything else but doing 3 Xen Strength classes a week, I lost weight, found muscles I never knew I had, and gained tons of body confidence.
But this program is much more than just exercise because quite frankly, a tight ass isn't getting me through this tough time, it's my gratitude and meditation practice - I truly believe those are things that change our lives.
