YOGA SCULPT CLASSES
Xen Strength Yoga gives you a total-body workout, combining heart-pumping cardio benefits from a nonstop flow with an increased metabolism from yoga sculpt moves.
Want the flexibility benefits of a yoga class combined with the strengthening aspect of a weights circut?
Xen Strength was born out of my frustrations with not having enough time to do yoga, strength train, and get my heart pumping all at once.
Plus, I needed to try something different when my regular yoga practice wasn’t delivering the same results I had experienced in my twenties and thirties.
I looked for a method that combined these elements of fitness, but had no luck, so I decided to design my own.
Why is Xen Strength better than any other method?
Xen Strength Yoga helps you achieve the most effective results with the least amount of effort, by engaging you in full body moves that work multiple areas of your body at the same time
“Danielle is one of a kind. She lights up a room and has great energy which is incredibly infectious. Her classes are terrific and her method of incorporating yoga with weights is genius!”

Xen Strength Yoga Sculpt FAQ
What is Xen Strength Yoga Sculpt? And how is it different from regular yoga?
Xen Strength Yoga Sculpt is a unique fusion of yoga, strength training, and mindfulness designed to help you build muscle, increase flexibility, boost bone density, increase your heart rate, and help calm your nervous system—whether you’re a seasoned yogi or brand new to the mat. The difference between regular yoga and yoga sculpt is that regular yoga doesn’t involve weights.
Who is Xen Strength for? Do I need experience before taking a class?
Our programs are designed for two core groups: yoga teachers who want to elevate their classes and gain new skills, and midlife women looking to build strength, confidence, and longevity through a mindful movement practice. However, my classes also tend to attract men and women who love the idea of traditional yoga but think it’s “a waste of time” so they love the added weights to give them a real workout. You don’t need to have prior experience, you can start with one of our beginner classes and be sure to use the modifications given if needed.
Is yoga sculpt suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. You don’t need to have prior experience, you can start with one of our beginner classes and be sure to use the modifications given if needed.
How is Xen Strength different from other yoga sculpt programs?
Xen Strength emphasizes smart, safe, multi-tasking movements with a focus on longevity and functional strength, not just burning calories. We blend strength training with traditional yoga in a way that supports sustainable results and total mind/body awareness.
Can I get certified to teach Xen Strength Yoga Sculpt?
Yes! Our Yoga Sculpt Teacher Training is an online, self-paced certification program designed for yoga teachers and fitness professionals. It includes detailed modules, class templates, anatomy education, and business guidance to help you thrive.
Do I need to be a certified yoga teacher to join the training?
No prior certification is required to begin. However, many of our students already teach yoga or fitness. If you’re passionate about movement and ready to learn, you’re welcome here.
How long does it take to become a certified Yoga Sculpt instructor?
The course is self-paced, but most people take about 20 hours to go through the manual and the videos. If you’re ambitious it can be done in a weekend.
Is Xen Strength safe for women in midlife?
Absolutely. Our programs are specifically designed to support women in midlife, focusing on maintaining or increasing muscle mass, improving bone density, and staying active through functional, joint-friendly movement. Plus the meditation helps with the anxiety fluctuating hormones bring on.
What weights should I use for Yoga Sculpt classes? Can I do it without weights?
It depends on your fitness level. If you are brand new to strength training, start with 1 or 2 pounds. If you regularly lift weights, you can use 3-5. I eventually worked up to 8 pounds, but I wouldn’t recommend anything heavier than that- even the most fit men in my classes don’t go above 8 pounds. You can also do the class without weights- it’s still a great class to get flexible and strong.
How often should I do Yoga Sculpt each week?
I recommend doing at least 3 days a week of strength training, so if this is all you do to fit that in, then 3 times a week- but you can do it every other day if you’d like. If you do other strength training modalities, fit it in your schedule.
Will Yoga Sculpt help me lose weight or build muscle? Is it good for cardio training?
Every body is different, but students who have started incorporating weights into their yoga practice, have lost 5 pounds the first month, and became more sculpted from the additional muscle they built- and that was the only thing they changed in their routine. It is absolutely good for cardio training. Because we are constantly moving the entire body, the heart rate stays elevated throughout the class.
How intense or hard is a Yoga Sculpt class compared to other workouts?
It’s honestly as hard as you make it. You choose the amount of weight and the modifications offered to either make it harder or easier if you’re a beginner.
How many calories will I burn in a typical session?
It depends on how hard you’re working, your metabolism, etc. But you can expect to burn about 250 calories in a 30-minute class if you are working hard.
What modifications are available for injuries or limitations?
Modifications are offered to serve people who have limited mobility, like dropping a knee, limiting the range on a shoulder movement, etc. Always listen to your body.
Do you offer on-demand classes or live sessions?
Yes! We offer a library of on-demand Yoga Sculpt classes as well as occasional live classes and workshops. These are perfect for maintaining your practice at home, on your schedule.
