The hips are known to be the emotional storage depot of the body, so unless you’re doing an emotional detox of some sort every week you’ve probably got some “stuff” caught up in there.
I’ve always been a huge fan of hip openers, and even after my hip surgery I still make sure to add a hefty dose of them every time I get on my mat.
Not sure where to start?
That’s why I’m sharing one of my favorite hip opening sequences AND a meditation on letting go so you can go a little deeper on that detox- don’t be scared, mentally letting go of things that don’t serve you anymore is just as gratifying as a 5 minute supported pigeon pose.
If you’re a yoga teacher and want this sequence plus a full class plan with dharma points, anatomy instruction, alignment, a fresh playlist and more, grab that too.
Enjoy + Namaste
