Were you one of many ringing out 2016 by saying “good riddance?” This past year was plagued with unexplainable violence, racism, and tragedy; and to top it off, no matter my opinion on his politics we’ve somehow elected a president who is the last person on earth I want my two boys emulating- in real life or on social […]

Relationships Are Like Yoga Poses…..
The first few breaths (years) are bliss, then all of a sudden you’re holding your breath (and biting your tongue) Yoga means “union, to bring together.” Within your physical practice you negotiate the union of the mind with body, body with breath, and breath with movement. A union of some sort takes place in any relationship […]

READ MORETime for a “Mental Handstand”
As much as I practice gratitude on a daily basis, even the best of us can slip into ungrateful mode… as I did last week while driving to teach a yoga class. As always, I call myself out on my crap and shared the following story with my students. They appreciated my honesty and laughed […]
READ MOREYoga as a Mirror for Life
Have you always wanted to start a yoga practice, but weren’t quite convinced it was worth it? Maybe you didn’t want to “waste time” just stretching, or heard it was some cult-like, religious thing…. I can’t believe it’s almost May, and Easter has come and gone. A few weeks ago I went on a shopping spree at Target and returned home with a car full of Easter-egg hunt supplies. I was happy to find, that unlike at Halloween, the shelves were still stocked with plenty of items to keep the little scavengers happy. Not only did they have plastic eggs, but they had plastic eggs in the shapes of baseballs, footballs, and even Hello Kitty. There were Peeps shaped like bunnies and chicks- in pink, purple, traditional yellow, and some covered in chocolate-genius!

If you follow me on social media you’ve had a peek behind the curtain of my gelato addiction- it’s been a problemo for years. I’m one of those people who can stand outside on a freezing NYC night and eat a whole cone while shivering; of course I prefer to eat it in Italy in […]
READ MOREHow to Stick to Your New Year’s Resolution
It’s day 26 of 2015 and according to multiple behavior experts, we’ve got anywhere from 3 to 64 more days to make our resolutions (or intentions as I like to call them), become habit; that is if they haven’t already gone by the wayside.
